Introduction to the artist and the work

My name is Cole,

I am a ceramics and sculptural artist who manipulates my material to create or represent a connection or experience with ones identity.

I utilize space, light, color, and form to appeal to the common themes that one experiences as we develop ourselves. I view these common experiences as the things that identify us as people and allow us to connect, understand, and empathize with each other. There are things in life that are universal experiences and there are things that are individual experiences. My work aims to celebrate and tell the story of both from a perspective that can be understood and related to my audience. I want the conversations about my art to stir emotion, both positive and negative, and encourage understanding of one another and our lives.
